Medicus Golf Institute Learning Center
Located at the prestigious Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fl. the Medicus Golf Institute Learning Center at Grande Oaks is one of the finest golf facilities in Florida. The facility encompasses over 40 acres of professionally maintained practice tees, bunkers, traps, fairways and rough playing surfaces, allowing the golfer to simulate and practice virtually any shot in the game of golf. With multiple putting and pitching greens, this short game heaven will refine your skills in varying grass heights and lie conditions.

5 full length practice holes adjacent to the Academy to re-create actual on course scenarios.
Trouble shot area complete with downhill, uphill, and sidehill lies.
Multiple bunkers allow for the practice of short greenside bunker shots and those tricky longer yardage bunker shots.
A pitching and chipping green with an area to practice full wedges to small chips. The green has two shelves to allow for multiple pin locations and unlimited shot possibilities.

Dan McCarthy
Dan is an Authorized Instructor of the “The Golf Machine” and was the Lead Instructor for Mark Wood Golf Academy. He is also the youngest member on the Board of Directors for the Broward Junior Golf Association and played his college golf at Flagler College where he earned NAIA All-Conference.

Dan has worked with players from the PGA tour, Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour, South American Tour, Golden Bear Tour, Gateway Tour, and Grey Goose Tour and Instructed 7 Broward County High School 1st Team All-County golfers.

Scott Roland
Scott is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Mississippi State University and a Class A member of the PGA of America since 1995. As an accomplished junior player, Scott turned his focus to teaching the game and became a teaching assistant and then an instructor for the Golf Digest Instruction Schools. Under the tutelage of many Top 100 instructors, to name a few, Mark Wood, Tom Ness, Chuck Cook, Bob Toski, Chuck Evans, Scott has the knowledge and understanding of the golf swing to help anyone. Scott has been the Director of Instruction at Grande Oaks Golf Club/Golf Academy for the past 8 years and is very active in junior golf as a board member for Broward County Junior Golf Association.

Jeff Butler
Jeff is a Class A PGA Member. He attended Troy State University where he earned All American honors. Jeff was also a highly ranked Florida junior and amateur player. He is a former Ben Hogan Tour Card holder and has won 25+ professional events. Even though still competing at a high level, Jeff turned his attentions to teaching golf as his profession in 1993. Since then he has had the honor of training with and learning from some of the games Top 100 instructors.

Jeff has this remarkable ability to combine detailed swing analysis, and his accomplished playing experience, that makes him a well sought out after golf instructor.

Created amidst natural oak hammocks, the Grande Oaks Golf Course is a par 71 and measures 6,680 yards from the tips. In keeping with tradition, all tees at Grande Oaks are perfectly square and are aligned to the middle of the landing area offering a variety of distances from which to play.

The greens at Grande Oaks are unique in design affording a wide range of play. The greens and tees are walk-mowed to provide prime playing conditions. The greens are planted with Tift Eagle, an ultra-dwarf that is superior to others allowing faster, truer greens play. All the Grande Oaks fairways are planted in Bermuda 419.
