About Ocala

Kevin Moores
Kevin attended the San Diego Golf Academy where he began his PGA apprenticeship and turned Pro as of 2000 after a stint in the military and law enforcement. Kevin has also worked at Stoneridge Golf Club, Sedona Golf Resort and The Club at River Forest where he has held the course record at each of these courses and has been Director of Junior golf and head of private instruction at Sedona.

CFor the past two years Kevin has worked and trained closely with Chuck Evans, Executive Director of Instruction for MGI, and is a contributing writer for www.golfnewsupdate.com and MGI forums. Kevin has started two Junior Golf Programs as well as representing Medicus Golf at the AJGA Post-Season Series. Besides working with all levels of players, Kevin is an experienced club fitter and performance fitness consultant.

Kevin’s other interest is in the Martial Arts where he is a World Champion and has studied various forms since the age of 5. Kevin has spoken around the country on Abduction Awareness, Rape Prevention and Women’s Self Defense and was honored with the highest individual award in the State of Kentucky one can receive for his efforts in helping people. He is a Kentucky Colonel.

Host Golf Course Facility
The Country Club at Silver Springs Shores was designed by Desmond Muirhead and opened for play in 1969. The course is a challenging layout for any skill level player with 5 sets of tees; stretching back to nearly 7000 yards from the Championship tees. The greens are very undulating and are generally considered the fastest putting surfaces in the area. The course has hosted numerous professional tours and US Open
